Simply knowing the name of an instrument, its cultural origin and how it can fit into an ensemble setting increases your confidence and musical appreciation. Now, there’s a place where you can discover the wonderful world of percussion with others in a fun and playful environment – World Rhythm 101 LIVE! These one day workshops focus on different areas of learning. The Basics covers general percussion and hand drum techniques on over a dozen different instruments! Once you have “The Basics”, then you’re ready for “Middle East & West Africa!” or “South America & The Caribbean!.”
